Whistling Dune Bay

Located in Kubuqi Desert, Dalad Banner of Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, Whistling Dune Bay is a mega comprehensive desert resort where you can sightsee or just relax.

Located in Kubuqi Desert, Dalad Banner of Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, Whistling Dune Bay is a mega comprehensive desert resort where you can sightsee or just relax.

The resort sits 110 meters high with a slope of 45 degrees, huge crescent-shaped sand dunes creating loud echoes resembling a roaring airplane or croaking frog.

There are five distinct islands, including Sand Dune Resort, Yuesha, Xiansha, Fusha,and Liansha.

Sand Dune Resort is separated by a river, perfect for water yoga and aerobics, or swimming. Have breakfast next to the pools while enjoying a sandy view at sunrise.

Yuesha Island

Take a train into the desert where you may come across a long camel caravan and pass by ancient Mongol tribes. At Yuesha Island you can watch or join artistic gymnastics, aerobics, hip-hop, beach volleyball and other entertainment. you can also try sand painting. There are also pools of various depths for you to swim in. Catching an athletics show at night is a must.

Xiansha Island

If you are energetic and excited by challenges, you should not miss Xiansha Island. Desert adventures, a cableway, sand surfing, track cycling, as well as breathtaking acrobatics like wire walking and juggling will not let you down.

Fusha Island

On this island, you can live in Mongolian, nomadic style. Start the day with fresh milk tea, take a prairie tour on the Lele oxcart, participate in a local wedding, have a barbecue buffet or milk food, or dance beside a bonfire.
