The“24-zig” road is believed to have been part of the Stilwell Road, which linked northeastern India with the Burma Road, serving as a strategic supply line in the 1930s. As the only road of its kind in southwest China, it was crucial in the fight against Japan, as U.S. trucks used it to transport guns, ammunition and food supplies from India to Guizhou. It has become a symbol of perseverance and Sino-American friendship.
