Beijing starts its first public tourist bus service

Beijing Public Transport Holdings, Ltd., the city’s main bus company, opened its first direct tourist bus route from Qianmen to the Badaling Great Wall on January 1, 2017.

Beijing starts its first public tourist bus service

Beijing Public Transport Holdings, Ltd., the city’s main bus company, opened its first direct tourist bus route from Qianmen to the Badaling Great Wall on January 1, 2017.

Visitors can catch the 50-seat bus every half an hour at Beijing Tourist Hub at Qianmen. The bus travels 74 km and the ticket costs 20 yuan.

Travelling with the passengers is a guide who will introduce Beijing’s history, information about the Great wall and local cuisine.

Similar buses to other tourist spots in suburban Beijing will be launched in the near future. A multi-language service on the buses is expected too.

Operating time:

Peak season (April – October): 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Slack season (November – March): 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
